Today I got a card in the mail. It was from a charitable organization stating that my sister had made a donation to the Haitian relief efforts in my late husband’s name.  I am so grateful that he is remembered that way and that she would know that that was something he would want to do if he were here and could.  I think when we help others, those we don’t even know either with gifts of money or our time, we show our gratitude for the blessings we have or the tragedies we have been spared.  I am grateful for so many things today, both big and small… a dry basement (after 8+ inches of rain), March Madness starting soon, brilliant, cooperative children (maybe I’m a little biased), good friends and a wonderfully supportive family. So very blessed!
